Lets be fair to the VO's, they have a document check list which we are supposed to go through and ensure that we have everything that they ask for. If we don't provide everything requested we can't really blame the VO :-(

If/When I get my MR through, how negative is being a smoker? Is it better to quit for a week or before the medical so I can say ex smoker or will this not really matter?

You really need to get the copy certified by a notary or someone of similar standing before sending it.

Earlier you said that you didn't send a copy of the degree/masters though. Without having both they are unable to verify the qualification so would result in them not being able to award the points.

Yes this is strange as they don't want original transcripts they want the transcripts to be in a sealed envelope from your university and signed by the uni's registrar. I found this part highly frustrating as I was quite pleased with myself having kept my original transcripts only to find out...

This is just me thinking out loud but is it possible in Omee's case that when the VO looked at the case they have been unable to verify some part of the documentation that Omee provided and therefore revised down the points awarded at the CIO?

This is quite worrying as I didn't think the VO's had the right to refuse at this point as the CIO was supposed to have already made to final determination of eligibility.

applicant received PER in Feb/March...lets connect here

The one question I have regarding stage 2 in that thread states that the CIO do the eligibilty check at this stage. On my PER it states that I have a positive final determination of eligibility. Should this part of the process now be in stage 1 for all MI3 applicants?

Well here is the triple whammy, my boss is also my girlfriends father. So he is on my @$$ and my girlfriends almost every single day. So far he refuses to believe that his lawyer has given him duff information about the immigration process so I have sent a letter to this chimp asking him to...

I have read in a few places that with LVO once they request your passport you can go in person and then collect it yourself a couple of days later. Is this true and can anyone send me a link with more info on this at all? Thank in advance :-)

I like your optimisim, I prefer to be the pessimistic. This way I always expect the worse so I am never let down, but if something goes right I am that much more amp'd by it :-)

I really wish I could relax. If I didn't have expectations of getting in sooner rather than later from my employer. It would make it so much easier in my case if they were clear on the amount of time someone could reasonably expect to wait for the visa process and not have contradictory...

Surely you can sue them for not sending the meds? Or at very least threaten to sue them so they get their act together?
