    Oinp invitation

It can take a few days (about a week) to get it. If you don't get it by next Friday you might want to re-create your profile

Job offer expected sooon! Help needed on documentation!!!

What happens if you calculate your score at 7 instead of 6? And what province are you attempting to move to?

US Auto Insurance company that is OK with extended Canadian visit?

I'm going to be arriving in Canada on a NAFTA visa. It is my understanding that Canada considers me a temporary resident, and as such, I am not required to get a Canadian driver's license, plates, or insurance. However, my auto insurance company states that my coverage is not valid for visits...

Job offer expected sooon! Help needed on documentation!!!

Have you looked into Express Entry? If so, what is your CRS score? I would be willing to bet you qualify on your own, at least if you can get your reading up to a 7. Also what province will you be residing in. This potentially lets your get the ball rolling more quickly, and potentially...

How many years have to stay in Canada for getting citizenship?

How do partial days count into this? Suppose I do a day-trip to the US (so I leave Canada and return to Canada the same day, being in the US less than 24 hours. Is that day subtracted from my 4 years? What about a longer trip - let's say I leave on 5/2 and return on 5/9 - I was not in Canada...

The reason for 3 draws in January is because ?

If I were to make a guess, solely based on past experience, you will probably get an ITA at some point in 2016 with a score of 450. However, if you're in a hurry, take the PT from OINP. If your score falls even one point (due to age) you're going to need the OINP nomination, at least based on...

    Resume for OINP

I built a version of my resume that was tuned to very closely match the NOC codes I was claiming. In my case, I tune my resume for pretty much every job I apply to, so I had no "standard" resume. Probably not a bad thing to do.

    Job Offer

So, I've been in a somewhat similar situation recently (company offered job, I accepted, we signed paperwork, company backed out) however the company backed out in my case due to their own incompetence, and unrelated to time or work authorization. I've talked to a few lawyers and all have said...

    lmia for brother?

Does your brother stand a chance of getting a provincial nomination? I'm inclined to think that may be a better option. Alternatively, isn't there a way you can sponsor one family member?

    lmia for brother?

I'm not aware of any such restriction, but I do not claim to be an expert in LMIAs. However, do you know what an LMIA is? You can't just "give" one to a person - it's a process where you have to go through the motions of trying to fill the job with a Canadian, then show you are unable to.

Coming on NAFTA visa - how does it work?

I'm a US citizen and I have a job that is sponsoring a NAFTA visa for me. I am landing at Toronto Pearson airport next week, and a little unsure what I need to bring with. I am bringing: 1. Copy of my college degree in a field allowed under NAFTA visas, associated transcripts, and WES...

    lmia for brother?

I'm going to assume you are already legally eligible to start a business in Canada. Assuming so, I'm not aware of any reason you could not do an LMIA for your brother, but obviously you would actually have to do the assessment and prove that it's needed.

Coming to Ontario on NAFTA visa - should I get a Canadian Driver license/plates?

I'm a US citizen coming to Canada on a NAFTA visa. It's my intention to reside in Canada indefinitely (pending approval of PR, which is already in the pipeline). I currently have a NY State driver's license, and vehicles registered in NY and NC. I will be bringing them with me. Am I legally...

Received Canadian job after applying for OINP - should I/how do I update OINP?

Is the OINP file number the same as the Express Entry Profile (E0005xxxxx)? If not, where can I find this number. My application was delivered recently enough to ONIP that I have not received any communication from them. Thanks!

Passport Signature Slightly Different [OINP Application]

I'm of the opinion that no one but you will notice, and you are likely to cause more confusion by trying to explain it.

Passport Signature Slightly Different [OINP Application]

My personal opinion - if it's "slightly" different, odds are no one will notice, and you will cause more confusion by bringing it to their attention.

    FEB 10 2016 DRAW -- CRS 459 , ITA 1505

Even if the score falls, I can't see it free-falling - the problem is that there's a bunch of people sitting in the 440's - so even if it falls a few points, you have a 12-month backlog of people sitting in that range that have waited for an ITA (where at most someone in the 450's had to wait a...
