How do you send a request to know if a certain place has received the application?

I spend my free hours gaming, haha. Enjoy it as much as I can, cause once my wifey gets here, gaming ends. :D. But really, takes your mind off of it :)

Lets assume it's true, does this mean they do another criminal check on me (the sponsor) once the file is in Russia? I was under the impression the background was done in Mississauga, before SA. Not that it matters, just wondering when everything gets done :P

Hey guys I have a question. Once my wife is approved and gets here to Canada, will she still be using her Russian passport? Aka if we take a trip somewhere, example : usa. Will she need to apply for a visa (she does from russia), or, with PR card, will she be able to cross border with just her...

I doubt anyone has gotten PPR yet :P. I know for the Moscow office, they just request the passport at the end.

Wait, so receiving that message means my file should in theory already be in Moscow and someone should be working on it? O.o. I thought they were just updating it a few days after being approved for SA now, not that someone was actually going through your file yet.

have you called them yet? I never received a letter/email about SA, but when I called they said I was approved march 26th, and file was transferred to Moscow.

That helps to understand. I kinda assumed all that, it's just so complicated. Luckily for me, I have no criminal record, me and wifey have only been married once (not in 8 different countries) :D. Should be straight forward. ^^

The wait times are weird. The Moscow office is 18 months, yet people seem to get approved and landed within 6-9 months often (some even sooner). I don't understand ;o

Call them, theres a chance you got SA but letter got lost (I'm pretty sure my letter is lost :<).

They sent my letter March 26th, should be overnight delivery to get to me (I'm in Ottawa). Nothing. Haha. >.> EDIT: I guess 3 days for snail mail, but still! :P

I would just send the application for sponsorship in, and try to get a visitor visa, though it's hard to get. No need to complicate things ;o.

Mines a letter (still didn't get it). Just call them :P. They will tell you.

It's what I've been doing. I didn't realize there was another way to log in, haha. I checked today, and saw they received medicals for my wife :). Woohoo. I'll call thursday to find out exactly when file was transfered to moscow.

so I called, and I got SA yesterday, march 26th :). The guy told me to follow up in about a week with them to find out when exactly the file gets transfered. Woohoo :).

Does anyone know if the moscow office sends out an email when they receive your application? I know some do, and some don't. :) Ty
