You have to have some kind of plan. Where will you go in Canada once he gets PR, how will you support yourself, etc. You can't just submit an application and not have any plans, they will deny you of course. Show them your plans on going there (Maybe a job waiting, or some family that will...

If you`ve been living together continuously for 12 months, and can prove it, then I think she can sponsor you as common-law.

They can extend your medicals if it takes more than 1 year. IF they ask you to redo it, then yes, it will delay the applicant a few months. (They have to get the results/process, etc. etc)

My wife did not put the Apostille on it. She asked if I needed it, I told her I had no idea what that was, and so she didn`t. Our application is in Moscow now, and so far they haven`t contacted her to ask for that or a new police check, so it should be fine without it.

What message did you send them? The Canadian embassy in Moscow just doesn't reply to anything. I think I'd get more of a kind of update from a wall than I would from them, haha. I just want to know if they received the application, sigh. I'll be applying for those 5$ note things on thursday...

Lavender, don't stress about customs when you get here. A few formal questions, check forms, on your way. Nothing to worry about :P. Now just to wait for my wife to get her passport request, haha. Hopefully by the end of august, though I doubt we'll be lucky to get it so quick)

Really? I was under the impression you didn't get any unless there was something to had to know. Kind of good you can request them if you want.

You don't get the results, or get to know if you "passed". However, if there's anything that you "have" to know (they find something bad), they will let you know about it. If you're healthy, then don't even worry about it.
