I think that at the peak of the Strike they were still collecting passports...seems to me there was plenty in August..and now a standstill...focusing on the October and November applicant whose med expire? We're waiting too...trying to be patient..anyhow what I think is that it doesn't...

Rob_TO is correct....there's no link between airlines Reservation data bank and Immigration.....all the check in staff are looking for is that your name matches your ticket..your partner can even use his passport and there wont be any issues...
