    Latest Ontario Tech Draw

So last year they were inviting 500 and higher when IRCC was inviting CEC only? EDIT: I see that they were in fact inviting the EE cut off - 1. https://www.ontario.ca/page/oinp-express-entry-notifications-interest. They were mostly 470s and below.

    Latest Ontario Tech Draw

Thanks for replying. Yes I selected “All provinces and territories”. My question is; why would they pick lower scores if higher scores are available? Is there any criteria they pick based on?

Based on https://www.cicnews.com/2021/02/ontario-holds-first-tech-draw-of-2021-0217182.html#gs.tq2045 the scores invited are between 453 and 467. In my EE profile, my score is 469 and my primary job is set to 2174 which is one of the tech jobs. What am I missing?? Also, does it take time for...

    NOC 2173 vs 2174

Hello, 1- I am a mobile app developer (iOS) and there are some similarities between NOC 2173 and 2174. I watched some videos explaining how to pick one but I am still confused. Any idea? 2- Also I am an electrical engineering graduate and my primary NOC is either 2173 or 2174, rather than 2133...

    Some questions

1- Do you know what NCLC 7 in French is equivalent to in DELF? 2- Can the jobs have different codes? 3- So basically I don't need to "apply" to the Ontario PNP. They pick people automatically who are already in the Express Entry pool, correct?

    Some questions

I have some questions and I hope I can get some answers: My score is 469, do you think I have a chance within the next few months to get invited? I see that they are drawing CEC and PNP specific people which is worrying me. Is French level B2 (DELF equivalency - I know it has to be TFC or TEF)...

    Doing master's in Canada

Yea getting accepted and getting a study permit is obvious. Anything else I need to take into account?

    Doing master's in Canada

If you complete a one year master's degree in Canada, do you get points for completing a one year master's degree in Canada AND for having a master's degree as well, or do you just get points for completing it in Canada? The score difference is huge between those two possible ways of adding points.

IELTS and TCF/TEF for Express Entry

So basically aiming for B2 in French is worth it even if I turn 32 years old. I have some French background so it'll be some effort before I can get to B2, but I wouldn't be starting from scratch.

IELTS and TCF/TEF for Express Entry

Oh yea, I already have an Express Entry profile. Thanks for pointing out the bonus from skill transferability. This makes more sense now.

IELTS and TCF/TEF for Express Entry

Ah thanks for clearing this out! What do you mean that if I have above 67 points there (where?) then I shift to the "CRS grid for Express Entry"?

IELTS and TCF/TEF for Express Entry

Hello, My score is currently 385 and I'm 30 years old (as of September). My IELTS scores are 8 in listening, 8 in reading, 6.5 in writing and 8 in speaking. I also have a bachelor's degree but I have a diploma that I have just finished and I will send it to WES soon. So if the diploma is...

We're still working on your application email

But I’m still in the Express Entry pool correct? Also if I update my profile to get a higher score, would it update instantly or would it have be processed?

We're still working on your application email

I received this email a few days ago and I am not sure what it means. I had my application submitted in November and I understand that I am in the Express Entry pool now so correct me if I'm wrong. Also my score is below 400 (I am working on increasing it right now) so there is no way I was...

    Express Entry questions

My profile status is "Submitted". I understand that it takes 6 months to process but I am not sure what that means. Does it mean that within those 6 months, my profile is not in the pool? Regarding question 1, if I indeed won't be invited until it's processed, what are the next steps once my...

Would a 461 score be sufficient in a year?

Lets assume I was able to bring my score from 390 to 461 by the end of 2020, would that be sufficient or would it be a huge risk where the score could end up being too low?

Question regarding a degree and postgraduate studies

I have a bachelor's degree and I have done SOME postgraduate courses in a diploma. I have NOT finished the diploma but I am guessing my university can award me a certificate of completion for the courses I have done. So far they are 33 hours. 3 courses have been transferred from my bachelor's...
