VANCOUVER vs TORONTO for Nurses,CI (registration, survival jobs &cost of living)

No bridging for me. I did the competency assessment table though. I have my US license and I am currently working in a British overseas territory, the experience I used to back up my application. Took the whole process about 11months, with a few months delay which I can say was a fault on my part.

VANCOUVER vs TORONTO for Nurses,CI (registration, survival jobs &cost of living)

Yes, I have. I did mine with CNO. As for your IELTS, that's too bad. Don't you want to take it again? You just need the general module anyways if you are applying in Ontario. The thing with endorsement in Canada is, from what I've heard, is not as easy as compared to endorsement in the US. I...

    FILIPINOS Applying for FSW Page.

CNO assessment fee is now CAD 600+ for foreign applicants. If you applied as an RN and they decide that you are not eligible in the end, you will be given an option whether you would like to do/fill out a Competency Assessment Form or withdraw your application. If you decide to withdraw, that's...

    FILIPINOS Applying for FSW Page.

I haven't heard yet of any Pinoys that was not required to take a class after doing the SEC. Most of the time they are being asked to "enroll" in remedial classes, and when I say enroll meaning it is not for free. Some classes are not readily available as well for enrollment, sometimes you need...

VANCOUVER vs TORONTO for Nurses,CI (registration, survival jobs &cost of living)

Choose the province where you will be most likely be approved to register and eventually work as an RN. Weather in Vancouver is better than Ontario but the cost of houses is more expensive in Vancouver, just some of the many things you need to take into consideration.

New Rule June 2010: How to determine the current number of applicants per NOC

Hi! true, I am finished with it and already have my visa, but many of my friends are just about to start their application. They are now in a limbo and having second thoughts whether to submit now or not because they have no idea what the quota status is now for their NOCs.

New Rule June 2010: How to determine the current number of applicants per NOC

As there is a 1000 limit per NOC now/ year, how would you know if the limit for the particular NOC is reached already or if it is still available? When will they start counting? From June 2010? What will happen if you have submitted your application not knowing that the limit is already...

Finally received my visa yesterday. Thank God. :) It took exactly a year from the time I first lodged the application. Should be 9months only but I wasn't able to send my passport immediately due to personal reason. Goodluck to everyone. Hope you get your visas soon. :) Time to prepare now...

Can you lodge two similar type of application (under FSW) at the same time?

Just a question. My friend applied under FSW way back in November 2008 and was asked to submit full application in July 2009. Since then no further communication was made by the local visa office with regards to her application. E-cas shows it's in process. Now, since this particular application...

    Is this possible?

Same thing here. The file number I got from CIO is different from the one issued by the local visa office. Both are working though when I used 'em to check my case status online. However, for communication purposes with your local visa office, you need to use the one that they gave you.

Totally agree. Click all high. That's what I did. Submitted my initial application without taking the IELTS yet. It'll give you an advantage. Anyways, you have enough points to back you up just in case you don't get the score you're going to declare.
