    LMO

It could be as fast as 1 week to as slow as a couple of months. From the other forum, I think it was mentioned that the AB waiting time is 60-70 days.

    Wrong Occupation in WP

You can call the call center. If you have an LMO, and all the information in your LMO is correct, they could access this information and inform the case processing center regarding the mistake.

    LMO question

An LMO is specific for a certain employee. The employer has to apply for a new LMO for a different employee. Unless the employer has an open LMO, then that's a different story

    Work Visa Question

Yes, but from what I know, it's only for spouses of professional and skilled workers on a work permit here in Canada. It's also for in-land PR applicants who got first stage approval.

    Work Visa Question

During the transition, you are considered to be on implied status, you may continue to work. The thing is, if you get a negative LMO from your new employer, then you're screwed. I don't think it's feasible to negotiate with your employer. Why would an employer apply for an LMO for someone who is...

    re: police certificate

I think he could give a detailed letter of explanation as to why he can't produce the police certificate. Or he could ask the Singapore office to issue a letter explaining why they couldn't issue a police certificate.

    Work Visa Question

First, Your employer has to get a positive LMO for you. Then you have to apply for a TRV and work permit. If you decide to move here and say the business closes, you could change employers. As long as the new employer would get a new LMO, then get it approved. You can then apply for a new work...

married while on work permit - inland or outland application

I'm on a work permit as well, and I am currently working here in Canada. You can apply inland, however it would take much longer. It would take about 6 months for them to give you an open work permit and get first stage approval. Plus, you can't travel out of Canada while your application is in...

    concerns about validity of medical

Here is my opinion, but I may be wrong, as I am not an expert but an applicant as well: 1.I think that DMPs send it to only one place, that is, in Ottawa. And as long as you have the copy 2 attached to your application, it would be fine. I think that once the DMP submits it to Ottawa, the case...
