Is it possible to pay the fees for sponsoring a spouse even before I have sent in the sponsorship application? Does this expedite anything at all? I am still waiting for police checks, so I can't send them yet. Cheers, John

That is correct..I was teaching overseas for ten years and my wife accompanied me as a Thai citizen. I Australia, she was a permanent resident, but it has since expired since she had been away for more than five years.
