OK, maybe this is a dumb question, but when someone goes to Buffalo for instance, what happens? What docs do they get to come back into Canada?

I sent as many as were required on the application, but they need 3 more of each- just checked online and it says that the app is in process. I'm not sponsoring his kids right now, but I had to include them now, otherwise they wouldn't be able to be sponsored at a later date.

Once an outland app has been approved and on its way to the visa office, is there still a chance that they may request an interview? From what I gather, the interview is required to prove the legitimacy of the relationship- if the first stage approval goes thru, could there be an interview later?

We included the criminal record and the completed medicals that he had done in Greece in the application, so I hope that reduces the wait as well. :D

Ok, I completed the outland application for my common law partner on the 14th of Feb., mailed it and tracked it with Canada Post- they received it on the 18th. Up to and including this morning, I couldn't find anything on e-cas, and they had told me that the wait was 64 days at this point. Then...

We already asked about his license, and it's ok as far as his experience, my question is will it affect his application since he;s not landed yet? We applied outland, but he's here in Canada for 6 months.

Thanx for the reply, peeps!!!! I called CIC yesterday, and they said that the initial processing time for outland apps is now 64 days as opposed to the 35 it was a few months ago..... :'(
