excited but confused....

I got a registered letter today from the Rome visa office asking for my partners passport!!!! From what I gather from the posts here, does that mean that his visa is ready? What confuses me is that although we did an outland app, he's been here since March- Greece is visa exempt, but they stamped it until March. So what happens now?????

Ok, but how does the visa work if he's still in Canada visiting? What happens next- does he go to Buffalo or does he have to go back to Greece to get his card? I'm lost here.

i experienced that before (i am a pr so i experienced that)

i was in canada and i got the visa. so I send the passport and they stamp on it.
once you have the stamp on your passport you have 6 or 7 months to enter to canada again as a new immigrant.
in my case i have planned to go to italy in the summer so i only came back to canada as a new immigrant.

but I know that a lot of people who live here, they go to the states, and come back. mostly buffalo if you live in the east. and once you pass the controls, you are a new immigrant!

They will ask you to send your passport to the visa office,they will stamp it and send it back to you.Just make sure you put a note that he is in Canada now and thats where you would like it returned to.
Once he gets it you can go to Buffalo turn around and land at the POE
