Your status changed to IP on Aug 14, right? i am thinking it might indicate that they approve our genuine relationship if the status has changed to IP for everyone. Dont know if it would be the case.

At least, you guys received additional doc request from HKVO in couple days after IP, meaning that they are actually processing your cases. I havent received any at all, thats what makes me worried. Question: Do you have the date of doc request shown on your ecas after you received the email...

i noticed that too. My case is I have never stayed longer than 6 months in HK since i turned 18. I submitted my RCMP in the beginning though, not sure if i dont even need a HK police cert. I really hope i will get the PPR by this month since my med is gonna expire in Oct.

I dont really understand how cic works to be honest with you. Some people need 1-1.5 months to change from IP to DM whereas some people need only 5 days. It seems like most people get their request for police clearance or medical exam on the same day or couple days after they have got IP. I also...

Go to cic website and check "visit to canada section". There is a quote of determining your eligibility for applying visitor visa. My agent told me to apply for the extension of stay as a visitor if i could not get my PR app done before my WP expired. Therefore, i can still stay in canada to wait.

I was a student for 7 years and became a worker for 3 years after graduation. Since my post-secondary work permit expired in June, i extended my stay in canada as a visitor in may before my permit expired. I havent got my visitor permit yet but i have "implied status" at this moment.
