H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

Thanks for your post Ell Bee. The only thing that concerns me is the inconsistency of AINP. When you call them up sometime they say they are trying to maintain the 4 month timeline and sometime they say they are not sure. I am not sure what to believe!!!!!

H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

Should one wait till nomination to apply for PCC's or one can start to apply for PCC's 4 months after getting file number. Per AINP timeline they say 4 months for Pre-assessment(Issuance of file number) and 4 months for Candidate assessment

I think the best thing is to wait!!!!!. Hopefully they start issuing nominations soon.

Yes situation is getting bad to worse. AINP might as well shut this program down!!!!!

I didn't quite understand but has the H1B stream converted to employer driven stream. I thought there was no need to have a job for the H1B stream. Is this still the case????

Vineet I didn't quite understand your post. You mean to say that AINP will fast track new process applicants over the old process applicants. I think it's probably the reverse. Old Process applicants will get nominations before new process. Atleast that is the trend

As of now nobody knows what the probability. Hopefully people assigned with file numbers have been pre-assesed and can expect nomination within 4 months (per AINP website), but i am one of the applicants from Old process who was issued file number in March and still nothing from AINP. There are...

If they are processing 13XX file now most probably a decision has already been made on 6xx, 7xx, 8xx, 9xx, 10xx, 11xx and 12xx files. Hopefully there will be lots of nominations end of July and beginning of August

Wow 10% unemployment in Alberta, that's too bad. Hopefully things will start picking up by end of this year. Unfortunately I was not able to understand a major portion of Albertagovernor's post. I hope there wasn't any valuable information for prospective immigrants to Alberta

I was looking at the trend and looks like no nomination has been issued for applicants who applied after January 15th. It's almost like the nomination process has come to a standstill!!!!

Looks like I may have to go back to my home country and do farming. I just found out today that my company might not extend a lot of our contracts due to strained budget. Hopefully my company gives me 60 day notice. I don't know how this is going to impact my AINP process. Hopefully I just had...

Yes looks like they are slowing down the issuance of nominations so that immigrants don't flood the Alberta job market and end up doing labour jobs or in worst case scenario don't even get one. Hopefully the world economy starts recovering and everything returns back to normal!!!!!

Well hopefully they don't change the timeline again. I have re-applied for all my PCC's again, hoping I would get my nomination by September!!!!

H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

Also one has to realise that when AINP sent e-mails to applicants who got file numbers in March, they had mentioned 40 to 60 day timeframe. Based on this many applicants have applied for PCC's (sometimes 5 states as in my case) hoping that they would get nomination in 40 to 60 days. If timeline...

Wow!!!! How long are they taking to process an application. Some applications are being processed since Jan of 2009 and most of them are from old process (pre-assessment)

H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

Someone needs to call AINP and ask them if they are still maintaining the 4 months timeline after issuance of file number. There are applicants who have applied for PCC's from different states (5 in my case), FBI and PCC from home country. This all costs time and money!!!! Hopefully they start...

H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

Just a quick question to everyone in the forum. The timeline states that 4 months for pre-assessment . I believe for applicants from old process pre-assessment, has already been done, so it should take only 4 months from issuance of file numbers to get nominated or is it going to take 8 months...

H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

Maybe 2 years if not more looking at current trend. People with 6XX file numbers have not got nomination and yours is 7XXX. So you have almost 6000 applicants ahead of you. Only advice is to try and maintain your H1B status atleast for 2 to 3 years. You may get US green card by then. All the...
