Atleast the good news is that they are still issuing file numbers

They have said in the e-mail that processing will not start for some applications for 12 monts. Do they mean that no file numbers will be issued or applications with file numbers will also not be processed. It's not very clear. They need to clarify this.

Yes I think it's better to start looking for other alternatives. My confidence in this program has faded!!!!! In the e-mail they say that processing of some applications might not start for 12 months!!!! it's really ridiculous

yes this whole process is so messed up!!!!. they just keep changing the timeline regularly. I am not even sure if they are still serious about this program

My pre-assessment was done in December and docs sent in Feb but still nothing!!!!

Good to know to that March applicants have atlast started getting file numbers. Not sure when applicants will start getting nominations. I think the last known file number to get nomination was 664 almost 2 months back

I have lost hope with the AINP process. First they said 40 to 60 days to take a decision, then they revised it and said 4 months after pre-assessment. Many applicants have already passed this timeline including me. I am still surprised that they have this program open and accepting applications.

Well lets hope that they are maintaining the 4 month timeline, which means a lot of applicants should get nominations in the next couple of weeks as a lot of folks got file numbers between March19th and March24th. Also I hope that all applicants before Feb 19th do not have to maintain H1B status...

Nobody knows for sure. I guess the only thing we can do is wait and hope for the best

yes we will have to wait and see wat happens. But there were some applicants like deveshjatley and Indium sulfide-2 who I believe had got their file numbers in Feb. So they should be hearing something soon!!!!

I think a lot of the Jan, Feb applicants who got file numbers in March are in the 4 month range and still no nominations (Atleast per VSRao's spreadsheet). So I am not sure about the 4 month rule after issuance of file numbers!!!!!
