Are u sure? I took a PCC from Indian High Commission for my stay in India in the past. I just needed to SHOW the passport and give them a photocopy. To get things done from Indian diplomatic staff, is very difficult though. Oh yes... they take more than 45 days to process.

@PMM - this is just for my knowledge. in my country for example, 'teaching assistants' are full time paid positions in universities, doing quite a bit of teaching as well. do u think it will still not qualify? (i'm not talking about teaching assistants in american context here).
