It would seem a lot of the May applications received their MR after the 7 or 8 month period passed. Here's hoping the same situation applies to us as well...

There is a very good chance that most July applicants will not receive an MR request until March/April. That's just the way life is I'm afraid....

Same here. I don't know why people are worrying, we must remember that there are many applicants from previous months still waiting for MR. Patience will prevail....

I did it as an Irish citizen a few weeks ago and all was well - everyone on the US and Canadian side were more than helpful. Then again it was a weekday in Winter. Just bring ALL the relevant paperwork with you and if you have doubts about the paperwork, bring it anyway. Good luck.

Roger, I just asked johnny123 if he was Irish and there was no confirmation. What you posted only applies to Irish citizens (just so there is no confusion to anyone else reading this thread).

Because if you were Irish, I could give you a lot of information. I'm assuming you're not then, judging by your reply.

The CEC hotline is the number you call when you have a question or concern. My ECAS status is still at Application Received.

Regardless of when you start, at present you MUST complete 1950 hours of full time work for each of the 2 years you work. I can only assume that the same number of hours will be required when they change this to a 1 year prerequisite when the new CEC application is rolled out.
