    Drink Driving Conviction Question

How's the going shea?! If the conviction was made in Ireland, I don't think there's anything that can be done in Canada. I'm not sure of the Gardai's pardon process but have you contacted anyone at your local Garda station yet, they might be able to give you some info on the pardoning process in...

Got LMO can i got to the border and apply for Workpermit

I did it as an Irish citizen a few weeks ago and all was well - everyone on the US and Canadian side were more than helpful. Then again it was a weekday in Winter. Just bring ALL the relevant paperwork with you and if you have doubts about the paperwork, bring it anyway. Good luck.

Roger, I just asked johnny123 if he was Irish and there was no confirmation. What you posted only applies to Irish citizens (just so there is no confusion to anyone else reading this thread).

Thanks Senorita, that clarifies a lot of things but I was wondering if the CEC have documented anything official, seeing as they seem to cover almost everything else. By the way, I found the link which raised my original question here...

    Medical Process

Hi there, I came across an article online whereby the person applying for CEC had high blood pressure and ended up having to refer to a cardiologist - which in turn ended up costing them more money. What is the frequency of this happening and what exactly are they looking for as part of the...

Please help: New CEC work experience requirement and IEC

Regardless of when you start, at present you MUST complete 1950 hours of full time work for each of the 2 years you work. I can only assume that the same number of hours will be required when they change this to a 1 year prerequisite when the new CEC application is rolled out.
