The promise of faster immigration 6-12 months

Its still an average of between 6 to 12 months.(My example of about 12 months from submission of docs to Buffalo (June 2009) is countered by similar applicants who applied after me and got it in 9 months.) Buddy this is not something that you can be sure of. Its a story that will have its own...

Just a gentle reminder to all you guys. I took a little over a year to move between a Buffalo AOR and my med request. I took a little over three months between my med completion and my ppr. Thought I'd let you know that although annoying and frustrating at times - you simply have no choice but...

Landing experience - PR card not issued

I think the only concern is that travel document will have its own validity period. I am told it is 60 days. So second arrival at Canada needs to be planned accordingly.

LANDING IN CANADA ??? -All You Need To Know.

Actually I am interested to know which photo is used for the PR card eventually. When I got my Visa stamped, they used one photo in my COPR and returned all others. So I am just keeping the returned photos ready to hand over to the IO when I land. Will s/he take them at the airport and use them...

Does 183 day rule still apply?

Hi All, I read in many internet pages that permenent residents lose their status if out of Canada for more than 183 days. This is under the Canadian Immigration Act. Is this true or has the law been modified now? Thanks

processing times in buffalo - updated

In 2010 there are many who got their full approval including Visa stamping between 6 to 12 months of the second AOR. Do not lose hope. The data presented are an average of 2009-2010. Its a very different Buffalo nowadays. So please remove the label "slow" from it.
