Quick question for those who have applied by paper. Do you get a work permit application number? I applied using a representative and I want to call CIC to see what's going on (more than 100 days since I applied) but, when I do, the automated system asks me about my application number. Any idea...

Something at that list made me laugh ;D CEC is the only category with more principal applicants than spouses and dependants. It'd be great to have another graphic with the principal applicant age.

I wouldn't risk. Send it a couple of days before it expires. But the important date is when it was sent, doesn't matter how long it takes to reach Vergeville. Just send it with tracking and keep all the receipts.

Maybe they can change it on the phone. If not, just google how to make changes on your permanent residence application.

Call cic with your UCI number and they'll give you the application number. Do it first thing in the morning (8am) if you don't want to wait for a long time.

This information is updated quarterly and shows the time it takes to process an application after we receive a complete application package. So, since the day they receive your application.

Yep, or even more. Nobody knows. But you know that at least it hasn't been returned.

Hey guys, just curious. If a person is using a representative to get the BOWP, who is going to receive the work permit by mail, the worker or the consultant? Thanks.

My girlfriend sent the work permit application together with the permanent residence application. So in her case it was obviously by paper.

For those whose AOR should haven been issued but are afraid that there's a problem with their email address or didn't provide an email address and Canada Post may have lost the letter, you can try login in here https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas with the UCI number...

Of course you can renew your work permit with a LMIA. It's the usual and most common way of renewing a work permit. How did you come to Canada? With a LMO? Then it's exactly the same thing.

Just follow the application package and add a note at the end saying something like you are waiting for AOR and please check your UCI number or give you a call. That worked for a couple of people here.

Alberta. And the letter comes directly from Vergeville, so maybe it'd have taken longer if I were in the east coast.
