You would have had to of sent a photocopy of the original, so I'm sure you're fine. Specially if it's only off by one digit or something obvious. I would just send a case specific inquiry asking if it's an issue and telling them you're more than willing to resubmit it via Case specific inquiry...

I some what disagree. Not only would it be kind of a downer to ditch half the stuff you own and leave it in your home country/ sell it just to start fresh- UNLESS you don't have much stuff. He could have a whole house with electronics and appliances that are new. I'd understand selling things...

I was worried about the same issue, and I know of someone whos medicals expired BEFORE they got it approved. so I'm sure they take those of use who sent medicals upfront into concideration and extend the medical validity on the CoPR. Mine doesn't expire till Dec.2., but my CoPR should be here...

No idea for OWP permit extension. I know you can for sure find it on the CIC site if you just look up work permit extensions. I'm sure you just submit a CSI (case specific inquiry) with the updates passport information page. (since it will be blank) Hopefully someone else can chime in.
