That's right. For those within the country right now, they don't need to worry about PGWP eligibility at all irrespective of what happens to their studies. They still remain eligible just because they're already inside the country.

Yes students must demonstrate that travel is essential, ALONG WITH BEING EXEMPTED (approval before 18th March), that is, BOTH the things - APPROVAL BEFORE 18th March AS WELL AS ESSENTIAL TRAVEL - BOTH THESE CONDITIONS HAVE TO BE MET in order to be able to travel.

No, the above poster has supplied complete mis-information. Those with study permit approvals after 18th March are NOT exempt. They have to wait till IRCC notifies them that they can travel. They cannot travel and enter now for the fall. Only those with approvals before 18th March are...
