    I see a lot of NOs for this question, but, as per what I believe from a random questionnaire I filled long time for assessment of my eligibility, I belive everything counts. Marriage, Children, Age, Education etc etc. They might not make a huge difference, but, atleast helps.

    And to answer your subject line of the thread, no, first get the new passport and then apply for PCC. If you apply for a PCC before renewal of passport, you will still need to apply for PCC again after you receive the new Passport.

    Passport can be renewed within 3 years before its current expiry date if the re-issue purpose is only its expiry date. For few other reasons like Names Changes/Corrections, update of spouse names, one can apply for re-issue of passport any time.

    I just got a thought of this scenario! Will the PR status of the principal applicant remain valid if his dependents fail to complete landing before PR visa expiry date? Can a fresh PR process of the dependents can be initiated?

    Alright ..... that is fine.. you can write it down in english.. i bet they can't understand what you have put down there if written in the actual native script :)... If English is an official language in India, why do people need to appear for CELPIP or IELTS :D

    No exact clue why would it delay. Note that it happened for some cases ONLY. But, may be they take time to locate and validate your results as they will start looking for if the results were available already only when the application reaches to that stage! Just a POV not sure about the reasons :)

    Upfront medicals for CEC is very much possible. Some of the physicians behave like nerds. I had a completely different experience for myself :). Many people have appeared for their upfront medicals and everything went pretty smooth for them. However, as per what I understand from others...

    Not sure whether you can ask for it or not though it doesn't seem to be of any offense to CIC, RPRF is a refundable component and I believe it will be returned if application is not processed for any valid reason.

    You can check with the bank from where you have obtained the Demand Draft to see if it is encashed or not. By the way, may we know your current status? What is done and what are you yet to get?
