Proof of Relationship - What to include, how much?

The key is quality over quantity. And since your husband is from the US, he's lucky that he won't need to provide too much, unlike those coming from some certain countries. 1. Photos: - My wife and I submitted 170 photos, but there are people whose application got approved even though they...

My wife's COPR and visa show the exact same date of issuance. And she received them at the same time too; along with her passport of course. (Then she got her PR card exactly 70 days after landing.)

    Traveling alone with conditional PR

Soon it's 25 October 2014, exactly 2 years since the conditional PR rule took effect. Any ideas how the CIC will enforce it? Do you think they'll start sending people a letter, asking for proofs of togetherness in the past 2 years? i.e: shared utility bills, joint bank account, photos, etc?

URGENTTTT!!!!! PLEASE HELP - Last moment interview cancellation question.

Like others have advised, I would also recommend against withdrawing your nearly done sponsorship application. But I don't understand something though: you are in Canada now (with a working permit), correct? And your wife is a Canadian PR, correct? Which means, you are both in Canada now...

Hi Karen :) Welcome to this great forum!! Without meaning to rain on your parade, I would say that it's too early to expect to get a passport request at this time, considering that you guys only submitted the application in July and got the sponsorship approval last month. Just to give you an...

    COPR expiry window

So the CIC sent the COPR to the wrong address....and how did it eventually reach your wife then? Since it finally reached your wife after 3 months, doesn't it mean that the CIC finally realised about the wrong address (otherwise it wouldn't have reached her?) and made the necessary correction...

Proof of intent to live in Canada?

Read this guy's (Fencesitter) posts, to give you some ideas regarding what other documentations you can provide to prove your intent to return to Canada :-). The guy was staying in China, so he had to show proofs of intent to live in Canada...

I am waiting for my visa

That's an exceptionally long delay! If I were you, I'd get my sponsor to contact a member of parliament (MP) to find out about the status of the application. Get your spouse to put his/her postal code here, and contact the MP...

Should I have a baby or should I keep waiting for my husband's PR?

Just curious: are you the wife of a fellow member of this forum: amjad1002? Because he is also from Pakistan, and has a Canadian-Pakistani wife, who is currently in South Korea, and they applied last year through Manila too. Your stories are very similar, so I was just wondering if perhaps...

Should I have a baby or should I keep waiting for my husband's PR?

Hmmm I see. Well then you can disregard my earlier post (I mistakenly thought that you were born in Canada -- sorry about that). Well, as per this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=365&t=5 if your baby's born outside Canada, then he/she will NOT become a Canadian citizen =(

Should I have a baby or should I keep waiting for my husband's PR?

Contrary to your belief, because you are a Canadian by birth, in fact your child ***WILL*** automatically become a Canadian citizen, even if born outside Canada (such as Korea). Just make sure to apply for your baby's Canadian citizenship certificate after his/her birth. Application instructions...

So, Canada Post may have lost my package to Missiassauga

Here's a big tip (speaking from my own experience, caz our documents vanished too, so I called them a lot), when you hear that they have a high number of calls and then get disconnected, simply keep trying...! In average, it took me 13 to 15 tries (within a 5-7 minute span) before getting...

Yup, totally agree!! NA to Asia > Asia to NA!! =/ I don't know if my hypothesis is right.....but: airlines pay what's called the "landing fee" to the airports they land at. For example, Toronto's Pearson airport allegedly has the highest landing fees in the world, so may be that's why it's very...

how long it supposed to take to get the passport with visa after DM? manila time

Don't worry, you'll eventually get it. Sometimes it does take a while for the VO to return passports, after DM. In my wife's case, she got her passport back about 1 month and 4 days after getting DM. But then again, she applied via the Singapore VO, which is notoriously known for its long...

Feeling overwhelmed with all the small Qs before starting spouse PR app

    6. Not sure if they will suffice, but the rule of thumb is that the more you provide, the better it is. Submitting those is definitely better than not submitting any travel proofs at all. What about boarding passes from those trips? If you have them, definitely submit them too (copies are fine...
