I got that same email almost a month ago though, and still no progress. (Which I know isn't that long in the grand scheme of things, but I was really expecting DM within 2 weeks after getting that email and then shortly after going IP... :( )

I also have a new date. App was received February 5 and they started processing April 15. That's around when I received SA I think. This means nothing to me now. Who knows how long I'll have to wait. Today is my boyfriend (sponsor's) birthday too and now I'll just be grumpy all day :(

I just called and it was a waste of time lol. The agent said they can't look into my file to confirm if they got the documents or not (why the heck not?!). I also asked her that because I went IP after sending them, does that indicate that they received it? And again she said she can't confirm...

*hugs* I totally understand where you're coming from. I've also been on a visitor visa for a year and some days I just can't take it. I know some have it worse- they have to be apart from their families while they wait, at least I can be here with my boyfriend... But I feel like at my age (23)...

You can send your app without it; just include a letter stating you have sent off the prints and are waiting on the report. I personally didn't send my FBI report until... 4-5 months after I applied? I already had SA, however, so I was able to send it to Ottawa no problem. Good luck!

I got the same email in late July and switched to IP about a week later (the big batch of us on August 6). It does seem to be standard as a lot of us got the same one. I don't think it's indicative of lost documents. Do you think we'll get DM next week Jamsham? I was so hoping we'd have it by...

Definitely get digital prints. You can Google a place near you that does it. I went to this place: https://www.fingerscan.ca/ They rolled my fingers on the scanner thingie and it was only around $40. I only got one set of prints and the FBI accepted them no problem.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried, but I'm trying to be rational and patient. xD
