I hope it does. I called them today and the Agent said my BG check is still ongoing and that's all she can see. Oh, she also said my application was progressing smoothly and medicals are passed. So I said thanks for the update on the medicals (as if I didn't know that already) :D

Yes, that is perfectly normal. Your account status will remain the same until your passport is sent and your file is approved and closed.

Crossing fingers doesn't seem to be working for some of us.....maybe we need to keep our toes crossed as well :)

I know the feeling, worse when it's people who applied after you did. Makes you want to call up CIC and ask them to replace the Agent working on your file. :D

It is often said that no updates from CIC is a good sign your application is progressing smoothly. But all this waiting waiting waiting.......:rolleyes:
