My advice, it's better you renew your Passport if the 6months validity for issuing visas is too close! You can't request for a Canada PR visa reissuance !!!

It means the visa will either expire on the date that such Medical results exactly clocks one year or before the expiry date on such passport; whichever comes first between the two dates. Analysis: MR date- 1st November, 2013. PRV date- 1st Jan, 2014. It means such visa automatically expires...
