My wife and child got it, I didn't.

We applied as a family of three, but only two of us got an AOR. Did that ever happen to anyone else? Should we be worried?

AOR means all documents were received and the application is complete and ready for processing.

The AOR indicates the application package is considered complete (i.e. all required documentation was received) and thus ready for processing. The application can still fail later of course (e.g. for failing the citizenship tests multiple times[1], failing to provide originals of required...

ah yes, that's very true. Mine was returned the first time and I received it about a week before the people who sent it at the same time got their AOR.

Don't forget that we only see a fraction of the applications in the spreadsheet. If you search for their reports, they treat around 30,000 applications every year.

If you check the spreadsheets, times vary from around 260 to 300 days roughly.

I wouldn't worry. It's too early. Also, for whatever's worth, the first time I sent an application, it was returned before the date where you'd expect the AOR to arrive. I mean, other people who sent around the same time got their AORs a couple of weeks after mine was returned. Be patient, it's...
