Ottawa office has not sent any test invites to October applicants yet ? I'm a December applicant, I don't expect any movement until the summer at least.

Nice! A Toronto applicant getting through so fast is good to hear. Ottawa office seems surprisingly slow (considering that's where the federal government is sitting). Good to see movement still. May I just ask to share your interview experience with us ? Questions asked, that sort of thing.

Haha, good luck to you. You'll be fine I am sure. No updates on my side yet, been one month since IP. I haven't seen any movement on October or November applicants from Ottawa so I assume that it's just sitting in a queue for now.

For those of us who are in IP, we know that it's a months-long waiting game, what do you want us to say ? Based on the data from previous months, we could be looking at anything from 1 month to 1 full year before getting a test invite. There is literally no way to determine when IRCC will...

All we can do is wait. The average processing time is 1 year, we're barely 4 months in, have some patience. In my case, it has not been 1 month since I got IP. The earliest people get their test invite is 1 month even for applicants from earlier months. There is bureaucracy, there is...

This looks like a Fingerprint Request. At least from what I have read in other threads, that is what this sentence usually implies.

Yeah, plus it helps byrwus and other voluntary admins with keeping the spreadsheet free from errors. Not that we can reliably predict the timeline itself but I reckon it will be a few months before we hear anything back from IRCC (e.g. Test Invite, Interview, etc.).

There has been movement in our queue of applications. Our files are pretty much following each-other closely, very similar processing timeline :)

Erf... I feel ya. Yes, IRCC has slowed down when our applications started coming around. Maybe the officers got reassigned to something else or are simply over-worked, we can only guess. All we can do is wait and not freak out during the wait.

Yeah it is hard to say anything definitive. dpenabill gave me a pretty long and rational answer about what affects timelines of file processing in IRCC. Maybe the Ottawa files are just stuck in a slow-moving queue, it could be as simple as that... But the pattern is there: all Ottawa applicants...
