    Vancouver applicants - (C-6 10/11)

If immigrating from an English speaking country, what do I need to bring to the interview to verify English proficiency?

Does anyone know what parking is available near the IRCC office on Expo Blvd? Even paid options? We write our citizenship exams in a week. Taking the Skytrain would normally be the best option but I will need to drive there for work. Thank you.

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Have you seen this question on the test that has both 308 and 338 as choices for answers? I've been assuming so far that if my test asks this question, it would probably only offer one of those two numbers as a choice. If only 308 is offered and not 338, then I would know this is an old exam...

OK. I have it on good authority that the War of 1812 did, in fact, begin during the year 1812. I'm just sayin'. nudge nudge ;);) (say no more!)

Oh, I understand now. That I haven't seen before. That is unique.

ECAS and emails are out of sync at times. Our was for the exam appointment letter. Emails arrived days before ECAS update. Looks like different teams are handling each task (but perhaps in the same organization?).

Physical Presence calculator - USA visit effects

My Physical Presence Calculator report was over 12 pages long. I don't think that is a bad thing. It might explain the week or two delay at every or certain steps of the process. But, in the end, it is all moving forward. I wouldn't worry at all.

US citizen/Canadian PR.. Applying For Canadian Citizenship..

That is a very good question. Perhaps the search commands executed on the same computer system between two different government employees turns up slightly different results because the search criteria wasn't the same? This is only a guess. I've had 100s of trips into the US and honestly...

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Our test date is scheduled in the notice for March 21st. Not as soon as we would have liked but at least we're in there somewhere. We've been studying with great anticipation for months :)

    Citizenship Applications after Bill C-6

Our test invite by email was dated Monday 19 February 2018 but the email did not actually reach our inboxes until after midnight on February 20 February 2018. The ECAS did not update until I think Thursday 22 February or even Friday 23 February. We are in Vancouver. Is this the information...

US citizen/Canadian PR.. Applying For Canadian Citizenship..

That's exactly what my family did.... applied for both CBSA border crossing records from Canada and CBP records from a VOIA request to the US CBP and then took both reports and just lined them up by dates. That took care of my trips back into the US. Our situation is similar to your's. We...

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

The reason I ask this is because there is a great difference in speed of processing from one location to another. Best to compare your times with others processing in your office. Vancouver is slow so if you were going through there, your wait so far does not seem too long so you could wait...

Depends. Where are you? Where is your local processing office?

Passport apply after oath same day

I'd be inclined to follow the speed of processing of the office that handled my application. If I went through the process in Calgary where the IRCC office processes more quickly, I'd be tempted to apply sooner. I am in Vancouver, where the processing is slower so I will be more likely to wait...

    Citizenship Applications Delivered: October 16-20, 2017 (C6)

There are 338 seats in the House of Commons and, therefore, electoral districts (called a riding). Previously, there were 308. This changed late last year. It takes a while for the actual citizenship exams that are administered to catch up. It also takes a while for the online exams of...

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Will they work over the net? (translate PDFs?) Do tell who this is if you can. I have a very large passport and many stamps. using docsbase.ca just isn't an option for me as it would be too prohibitively expensive. Thanks

Does one need a translation of passport stamps for the interview?

What about entry/exit stamps in a passport that have smeared so badly as to be unreadable. Does anything need to be done about those?

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

How exactly is the per stamp tallied? If I have 4 stamps on one page of my passport, is the charge $7 or $7x4 ($28) ? Thank you in advance for the clarification

    Citizenship Applications Delivered: October 16-20, 2017 (C6)

How closely does the v-soul online practice exam correlate to the actual test questions? I've practiced 100-question practice sets on v-soul.com so many times that I can get 100% every time. Is the real test any different?

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Does anyone see a correlation between number of entries/exits from Canada for physical presence and processing times? e.g. The more entries/exits, the longer processing takes in order to verify?
