I'm definitely swinging wildly between antsy and as patient as possible... I guess I just want to know if I am indeed in process too, but I know I won't get any real specific answers beyond what others have gotten. I wish there was a real way to find out why ALL of our little group is so...
Does sending an inquiry really throw you further back in the queue?? Now I don't know what to do! I definitely don't want to make this any worse than it already is. ???
This is all just beyond ridiculous now. Is there anyone we can contact on behalf of ALL the "skipped" applicants? :(
Alright, I'm seriously pondering sending a case specific inquiry now. I'm curious to know if I too am in process or just floating in the queue somewhere. To those of you who have sent an inquiry, what did you write? I tend to get "wordy" at times and I really don't want to overdo it! :-[
Aah numbers... on the sponsorship approval letter my husband received (on January 18), there is a Client ID# (no letter, just numbers) This works with HIS info on ecas. The letter also has a Kit ID# (again, all numbers) Absolutely no idea what that is for...
My file number was on the AOR email...
I've been wondering, and I'm going to take a shot asking here since the thread dedicated to this question has dissolved into pure speculation now... And I'd prefer to have a Buffalo-centric answer anyway...
Does ANYONE know the difference between #B and #F file numbers? It seems many people get...
Thanks Jayde :)
I'm not in process yet (that I know of, anyway. Even though they've had my file since JAN 26!), but I haven't sent an inquiry yet either... which seems to be the only way people are finding out they ARE in process... I just might have to send one of my own!
So, with all the "senior" members (or members who seem to have a plethora of knowledge) here, has NOBODY determined what the real difference between B and F numbers are?? SOMEONE must know! ???
I'm sorry. That sounded more bitter than I realized! :-[ I AM truly happy for you. It must be a relief to be almost done with this ridiculously crazy process. Congrats! :)
(And really... ANY movement from Buffalo is a good thing, right? Haha!)
I was pondering that earlier tonight. Would suddenly receiving a few dozen emails from DIFFERENT people in the same timeframe make them wake up and realize something is amiss? ???
I did too. But now, they don't have many more excuses for letting our applications continue to sit around! Get moving, Buffalo! :P
I hope you have some great news soon, Jeff :)
Ahh, I see. That really sucks. I'm so sorry you're stuck like this! :(
My husband and I live pretty close together too, about an hour and a half or so (just outside Buffalo to Toronto), but I've been getting more and more hassle when crossing the border, so I try to do thatas little as...
Well, you never know... The completely scattered way CIC seems to work, you just might randomly get a surprise PPR sooner than you think! From what I've seen with the other recent PPRs, people seem to be completely surprised to get them. So, could be soon! Just keep that in the back of your...
Agreed, sooo much. I was instructed to get my application in before the end of the year so everything would be done fast at the beginning of this year... That obviously did no good! Seeing people who applied months after us get PPR is painful in some ways. I want to be happy for them, but I'm...
It does save a call history. Nothing detailed, but it shows the numbers called, date, and duration of the calls. I'm not sure exactly how my husband saved/printed it, it was a last minute addition to our application. But I know it can be done! :)
That's pretty much what I figured, but I'm sure I'm not the only one whose mind it crossed. We ARE dealing with the consistently inconsistent CIC here, where one never knows what kind of delay may turn up at any random moment! :P
Ha, I've been meaning to ask this too (and it's probably a really stupid question)... Is there any teeny tiny chance the strike will affect IAs and whatnot going to US addresses? I'm still living in western NY.
Just out of curiosity... Does sending a Case Specific Inquiry run the risk of slowing down the processing of an application in any way? I see some people have found out their files are In Process only after sending an inquiry, NOT actually receiving an ecas update/other form of communication...
Same mass quantities of No News here too. I was really hoping to see a lot more movement ahead of Buffalo's big "catch up" week next week. Ah well.
BUT! Game one of the Stanley Cup finals starts in an hour, so I'll be pleasantly distracted for a little while, anyway :P
