It looks like finally they have addressed the issue, they have changed the message to follow; 'If you need a medical exam, a message with instructions will be sent to you.'

No I didn't get any detail on this. I canceled the medical exam appointment, since it looks like they are having system glitches.

I'm on the same boat, made a medical exam appointment tomorrow, called the hospital to cancel the appointment, but they said it's okay to take the medical exam even without CIC notice. This is very confusing, how come CIC is not announcing anything on this.

Same boat here, paper based PNP. They have received my application on Mar-02-2017, and got the AOR on Apr-03-2017. No updates yet.

Yes, they can issue the work permit, but sometimes they can refuse since they want to pass along this job to the CIC. You need to include two additional documents. 1. Work permit support letter from the OINP 2. Receipt of LMIA exemption fee

I know your pain, I'm in the same boat. I don't see any future in my company, but I have to stay put until I got my PR after about 16 months like you. I received my AOR on April 3, and I got my closed work permit while back in January.

You should apply the closed work permit with your work permit support letter from the PNP, if you have one. And as you know, you can only apply the bridging work permit when you have the AOR. You can't work without the work permit in Canada, you can stay while you are waiting, but CIC might ask...
