Based on responses on this forum, I learnt that you need to surrender Indian passport in order to receive the 6-month visa. Is that not true?

October applicants with no test invite

See the correction below: I am starting to think that, some of us, who didn't get test invite yet , our processing time is going to be over 12 months ;) Add 2 weeks atleast after test invite, and 6-8 weeks on average for oath. So unless, we all receive test invites in next 4-5 weeks, its a...

    OCI process

If you scroll back a page or 2, I have summarized three different options and timelines. But to answer your questions - 1) Dont think so. Even if it does affect (timeline-wise), you dont have a choice as getting OCI now is taking a risk if you have to travel. Even if it takes more time for OCI...

    OCI process

Hi, I have question regarding OCI re-issuance for minor. It was my understanding that OCI needs to re-issued for minors under 20, everytime they get a new passport. But I saw two authentic links where they mentioned that it is no longer the case - https://boi.gov.in/content/visa-requirement...

Should I withdraw my application? CIT 0520 after citizenship test

pretty ironic, isnt it? but in this case, seems like the right thing to me too. sitting on the old application may lead to further delays.

    Waiting for my interview call

There are too many people waiting around your dates. As already observed and proven many times, a few weeks here and there has no bearing as the applications are not sequential. So although the delay is frustrating, I dont think you should be *concerned* at individual level.

October applicants with no test invite

If it makes you feel any better, I am one of the Oct applicants (experiencing the anguish) and I am asking you to relax. (because there is literally nothing else we can do). C-6 Citizenship Applications, Frequently Asked Questions

I would say your work permit starts when you get PGWP, and I would put that as the end of study permit (even though the actual expiry is beyond that).

how many guests are reasonable in Oath Ceremony(Surrey or Any office)

    I failed 1st test

Even I think so. But everyone's aptitude, general curiosity level about things, reading, etc is different. So you cannot generalize that about everyone. Some people need to study.

October applicants with no test invite

"People are worried" is not a good enough reason for IRCC to allocate funding for expediting applications. Even if they do, things wont change significantly in a few days. As far as the MPs are concerned, they dont care as we'll all be getting citizenships before the next federal election. So...
