    Further logic: if you become citizen of any country, it is not legally mandatory to get passport. You can live in Canada without Canadian passport, therefore for surrendering Indian passport, your Canada passport should not be mandatory.

    I second this post, I will also add - Try and remember what happened on those trip. Did you visit before a particular festival/event? Do you remember reaching on someone's birthday, etc. Try asking your family members/relatives that you visited. Do you remember the leaves you took in office...

I am wondering if it is okay to take our 5yo son with us (he is citizen by birth) or should we leave him with a friend. He is generally quiet and can easily wait away...

    PR card is only used for entry into Canada. You can legally stay in Canada on an expired PR card. Its always to good idea to renew, but if she close receiving her oath, she can skip. If she has to leave for her home country (emergency situation), then there maybe problems.
