PCCs are 'only' valid for 6 months in the Middle East. It'd be noted on most of them.
Thats true that the PCC is valid for 6 months but what if we have not visited back to the country after 6 months ever again..

so what u suggest should I fill the application with a new PCC in hand or should I apply using the same PCC and IF THEY ASK again...i can submitt a new PCC if required...plz advice..

this will atleast not delay my application for citizenship.

Hi Everyone,

Does the below statement apply to those particularly living in another country or just being present for any reason ? I'm asking since my wife went to India in the past 4 years only to attend a family matter which was on two occasions - One which lasted 106 days and the second lasted 159 days after a gap of 1.5 years only for family matters. Do we still need a police clearance certificate from India as my wife is an Indian Citizen? Please advise. Thanks

"Within the last 4 years, if you spent 183 days or more in another country (other than Canada), you must provide a police certificate. You must provide a police certificate for each country where you spent 183 days or more".

"if you SPENT 183 days or more"

So it doesn't matter if your wife live or visit there. You'll need a police certificate.

You have two options -
1) Either get a PCC
2) Wait until a time when the days spent in the last 4 yrs are less than 183 days.

Makes sense. Thanks for replying!

I'll go with option 1. Thanks

A small doubt
Malaysia doesn't issue Police Verification Certificate for less than 1 yr stay. My total stay is 9 months(greater than 183 days). So should i check "yes" and give an explanation for it or should i check "no"?

Check Yes and attach a covering letter.
