You have been waiting since January 2014 for your test? this is incomprehensible to be waiting for almost 15 months just to take the test, I am speechless. Unfortunately they will not be able to do much unless you reach the 36 months in processing. I think you should call them every single day...

Of course they would be getting a high volume of calls as they are not efficient and not doing their job very well. People are frustrated with them so people are calling in the hundreds and thousands to demand answers.

So you have not received any communication from the officer since he received your file in November 2014? Did the officer request additional information? This is unacceptable.

I believe that is good news for you, you should be scheduled for oath soon.

Maybe this is why their never responded to my second and third inquiry. The first one that I filled out they responded rather quickly but never on the second and third request.

It usually takes a less than 2 weeks to get a response from the case specific inquiry site. The first one I did was completed within 10 days but they did not really provide any specifics on my case, instead, they just told me my file was in RQ queue waiting to be reviewed and they did not even...

Why are you surprised? This is CIC that we are dealing with! There are thousands of people like yourself that are in the same situation. If you received A residence questionnaire chances are you could be waiting 3 to 4 years.

This is again CIC at its best! According to CIC officers are encouraged to make a decision within 60 days after receiving a file but there is nothing in the books to force them to do so, so it is obviously to their discreting and they take their time.

Really? what is the point of having a 3 year requirement when you can hold peoples citizenship application indefinitely? what about people like myself who have been waiting for 42 months on top the 36 months requirement? we should not be celebrating this at all. CIC is the most inefficient...

I could not disagree more. For you and most applicants the process is excellent as it takes an average of 6 to 80 months sometimes to complete the process. But for myself and the thousands of applicants that applied in 2009/2010/2011/2012 the process if far from being fair. Why? there are...

It is not the most effective way to handle this as you need to have a lawyer and you are for sure not guaranteed to win. As long as there is movement on the file we can only hope that they will speed things up soon.

Still nothing new and fast approaching 42 months in processing. Let us just hope that someone over at CIC will soon look at these old cases.
