I checked with my bank and they confirmed that DD was not encased as of 20th August, 2013. I am also not able to get status of my current application as the UCI, I have got is linked to my previous application of 2008. Getting tense now... >:(

Payment mode is DD. I have already requested in my earlier post to update it, whenever admins get some time they will update it.

For questions 1/2. There are two ways. 1st One: You can email at cio-sydney-search-enquiry@cic.gc.ca to get the status of your application. You will have to send them your Last name, First name, Date of Birth, Country of Birth in order to get the notification. You will receive a reply by email...

Well that's encouraging. But do they give UCI for each application or one UCI for all applications. And how do they figure out if I am the same person who applied earlier as their might be more than one person with same name as mine. My passport is changed since then.

I hope cic is as sane as you expect. And yes I got UCI when I called cic. But when checked on IVR it gives me the filing date of my previous application and no information about my current application. I am not sure how they link two applications to the same UCI. They should give UCI to each...
