CIC doesn’t send any email. I sent them an email asking them whether they got the passport about one week after I sent and they replied back.

You are IP2..and since CIC told you that your background check is finalized you must be very close to PPR...best of luck...:)

I think you are in IP1...next will be NA2 where your background will be not applicable....

Not sure if it’s because of that...I am FSWO...I think the processing time is random..

Hey folks...just received our COPR back today....application is approved in MyCIC and passports are stamped...planning to land for few days in December/January to see the Northern Lights from Yukon..:)....thanks everybody and best of luck!!!

PPR - November 6th Passport sent - November 13th (from US) Passport delivered - November 14th Application Approved and Visa numbers generated in MyCIC- November 27th Passport Returned - November 28th We didn't request for any expedited processing....however it was pretty quick...thanks...

Thanks. Yes we sent our actual passports. We didn’t request any expedited service. Even the fedex tracker got activated today..lol..passport will be delivered tomorrow....so its same day approval and delivery....looks like visa was printed before....I guess we are lucky...:)..

Hey folks how are you guys tracking ‘Passports received by the Office’ date? Is that something that can be seen from myCIC? We sent our passports to Ottawa on Nov 13 and it was delivered the next day. What is the next step or communication from CIC before status becomes approved.

You can reply on top of the original email from Islambabad and ask them to change your VO to your current location. You should get reply in few days. I got mine from Ottawa in 2 days. In your reply email to Islambabad VO, copy Riyadh canadian embassy and Ottawa both. After 2-3 days you should...

The 60-70% rule is a general guideline.....in my profession (IT) the duties mentioned by CIC are almost identical to what I actually do..however like you said there are NOCs where this is not applicable and matching index could be below 50%...in those cases I would suggest to provide a LOE...

I agree, the issue is with your employment letter. I think the responsibilities that you have mentioned in your letter doesn't match with (at lest 70%) the responsibilities declared for that particular NOC. Your letter is also self declared which might have created some level of suspicion. You...

Sounds like you are in IP2... from here to ppr can take few days to few weeks..many folks are waiting for even months..for me it took 2 working days...from timeline perspective no one knows...but the most important thing is you are very close now....:)

I am really sorry to hear that..any idea why??..but don’t worry and and hopefully you will be to reapply soon....with a bulletproof application this time...
