    I guess that explains why yours is blank under application assignment. But don't be surprised to get PPR direct, skipping IP and DM because we've seen it happen many times before on this forum. Goodluck my friend!

    If yours is blank it may that your application is yet to be assigned to an officer. What is the current stattus of your application? IP or DM?

    Check the second page of your GCMS notes under the heading "Application Assignment" you will see it there.

    You are right. CIC normally will not tell you but they can give you a timeframe to expect PPR. As in my case, my GCMS notes shows a due date of June, 30 2015, which means I will get PPR email on or before this day. When I called CIC the call center agent told me the same thing.

    Its kinda hard to swallow when you see Aug, Sept, and even Nov 2014 applicants getting DM & PPR while Jan, Feb, March and April applicants don't even know when their cases will be decided :-[

    Congrats Ppoonam! This is too hard to be true but taking into consideration the inconsistent nature of CIC's mode of operation, one cannot but agree that it is possible that you can get decision made in just 6 months. Congrats once again! Hopefully this is a new trend in the way CIC operates.

    Hi Hasib, It means your application has been finalyzed and you are at the verge of getting your permanent residence in Canada. Just stay close to your email to receive PPR.

    Hector_sun, Sometimes it takes 24 hours before the system updates itself for the call center agent to see. It happened to me too.

    I would say yes for sure. Background checks can take longer to return depending on individuals as per CIC.
