Manila Tread for English Speakers - join here!

Hi everyone! It's finally over for me. Mr. 14th got a call around 1PM asking him to come to CEM to pickup his passport with visa. When we submitted the documents together with his passport, I asked him to include a letter stating that we prefer to pick it up than having it sent through courier...

You can bring it at the embassy and drop it off. Make sure to put it in an envelope with the details as if you're mailing it.

I'm not sure about PAL. But when we inquired with Cathay, they gave us $700+ for July flight.

I would also suggest try calling the airlines itself and ask for a quote.

That plus another member of this forum said that when they were about to drop it off, the guard there said that it's better to send it through courier. Oh well...

I think I'm on the same rage mode as auditt. I just saw in CEM's website that if you drop off your documents, it will take longer. And coincidentally, that's what we did. - Delayed transfer from CPC-M to CEM - No GCMS notes after 6 weeks and counting - MP's ignoring me - Sent documents to...

Oh yeah, good luck with that. I hope it'll go well so you can leave without any hesitation. I got a confirmation email with a temporary tracking number but nothing after that. I'll see how long it'll take them again this time. At least it's summer here and there's a lot to do outdoors. That'll...

NOVEMBER 2012 (MANILA) - SPOUSE / FAMILY CLASS timeline Philippines

I'm not sure about this because the people who sent it to CEM through courier said that the signature upon receipt is from the guard at the lobby. But I could be wrong. They better have a system in managing that dropbox or else I'm screwed thrice over already. :o

Just get a flight reservation. I was thinking of doing the same thing when my husband got PPR - submit a booking certificate together with the other requirements just so they know he's ready to fly. Hahaha, you can try it. I don't think it will do any harm.

Congrats Rosey! Happy for you :) I requested for my GCMS notes last May 22, followed up a few weeks back and got a reply that they never received the request so now they asked me to resubmit the forms. Hope to get that soon to see what's going on. So you're lucky to get it all in good timing.

You're the one to be sponsored? I think Mr. 14th just did PDOS. He said he just paid P400 and was there half a day. I'm also Canadian, there's no bearing whether your spouse is Canadian or resident. Do it on Friday! :) You can just walk in.

Yeah, you can just go ahead and do it without the visa. I think you just need to bring other documents with you. And yes, the one in Manila.

Oh no! That's closer! I really hope you'll get it soon. Yeah, the PDOS seminar. I think that's the one that's mandatory. Do it ahead of time too, so when you get your visa you'll just go back to get the sticker.
