I just sent mine back after it was returned for a missed checkbox. The application had a timestamp already in the front when it was originally received so I'm not sure if that was crucial.

December 15, 3PM (I believe) was the received date written in the first page of the application form. I was surprised it got there quickly considering it was close to the holidays.

Don't rely too much on ecas for update. Mr. 14th got his visa already last Monday but ecas still says "Application Received"

Stopped counting but I ordered it May 22nd. I followed up earlier this month and they said it never got processed so they asked me to submit it again and the new deadline will be August 7. No use in that now.

I suggest go to the ticketing office of the airline of your choice and mention that you're a first time immigrant. know PAL and Cathay Pacific offers the discount.

Mrs. D, did you try calling DHL? That happened to my sister before and turns out DHL never got the chance to deliver it. I suggest give them a call and ask if they have a package under your name and address.

Correction: you don't need to get an international driving permit to drive in Canada. Your Philippine license can be used here for 3 months. As for the LTO certification, that's what you can use to get a license in Canada without waiting for several months to take a driving test depending on...
