    Nova Scotia Response time ?

Why do we expect CIO to speed up? Since there are always a load of people applying and since they will all be evaluated under the fast-track rule, should we not expect CIO to slow down in the long run? Many of those who applied before the 38 categories were published are still waiting and...

Quote file # on outside of the envelope?

My God!! This rings a bell. I sent some amendments to my application to CIO on April 08 and received no reply. I didn't write the file number outside the envelope. I wonder whether that could be the reason why I received no response from them. I guess they haven't even opened my file yet...

I recieved my assessment letter today from Sydney Nova Scotia after 71 days

While I congratulate you, I do feel surprised because of the peculiar act of CIC. Why did they process your application even though your NOC was not one among those 38 jobs? I am puzzled and at the same time intrigued. :)

Unfortunatly Bad news about FEDEX company am very sad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

professional, The whole thing is unbelievable! FedEx cannot get away by simply saying, we are sorry. They take a lot of money from customers because their deliveries are supposed to be guaranteed. Perhaps the individual FedEx guy you were interacting with was clumbsy/new. It may be possible to...

    FSW Buffalo September 2008

Hi bg_sikkim, You previously said that your NOC was not in the 38 jobs and that you applied as FSW1 between Feb2008-Nov2008. I wonder why they have transferred your file to the original visa office rather than rejecting it. Or, did they take the liberty of changing your application class from...

Self-addressed Mailing Labels: CIO uses during AOR or later?

Hi All, This is just a trivial thing but may become crucial. On the check-list, one of the items is "2 self-addressed mailing labels"; one in English/French and the other in the applicant's native language. My questions are: 1. Does CIO take one of them and glue it to an envelope to send...

Received PR Visa from CHC Islamabad under fast track

You certainly don't write like a cook. You write like a well educated person. Your English certainly will help you go a long way! It is quite inspirational to read about your case and to know how somebody who believes in himself and has confidence can move against all odds despite all criticism...

forum for not under 38 list applied in 27/2/08 to 30-11.08

Hi SASIF, It seems like immigration officers are handling cases inconsistently as I hinted before (several posts ago). They are being harsh on some cases whereas others are too luck to be rejected. CIC hired some new immigrants to assist immigration officers.

forum for not under 38 list applied in 27/2/08 to 30-11.08

Hi Rupeshhari, No, I cannot confirm of any court cases going on at the moment. In fact, as I was reading forum topics, I found bits and pieces of discussions about some sort of petition concerning the feb-08-nov-08 issue put forward by immigration consultants around the world. People were...

    FSW Buffalo September 2008

bg_sikkim, I am surprised that you chose FSW category 1. Why didn't you try category 3? If you did then you would not have had to worry about the list of 38 classes of professions! You are in Canada already for more than 12 months! Who can fit better in category 3 than you?! CIC processes...
