Hi All,

This is just a trivial thing but may become crucial.

On the check-list, one of the items is "2 self-addressed mailing labels"; one in English/French and the other in the applicant's native language.

My questions are:
1. Does CIO take one of them and glue it to an envelope to send AOR and use the remaining one at a later stage to inform the applicant of a case-decision (approval/refusal)?
2. My NOC has changed recenty. Should I include 2 such labels since I have to send the updated NOC information to CIO?

I would appreciate a response from anyone who received AOR from CIO. Thanks.

Not trivial at all but interesting question which I also asked myself before. Will they use the mailing labels we send?

I am already in the medical stage and I have yet to see them use these mailing labels. I have received 3 envelopes from them and none of them had the label I sent.

My guess is, they will not use these at all on their mailed correspondence. Probably, they stick it to your file so that they actually know how to write your name and address properly on mailed correspondence the way a citizen/native of one country would do because different folks write their addresses differently. We just call it 'mailing' labels to identify their size and purpose but I believe they will keep them attached to our individual files for their reference.

No need to resend 2 more because if they need it for changes submitted, they would specify it in the instructions.
