Unfortunatly Bad news about FEDEX company am very sad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After working on the police clearance for a long time by my family in my country while am in canada they were hardly able to get the non conviction certificate which is required along with the police clearance certificate from my country and i paid alot of money for that to issue it in my native language and get it translated to english by a certified translator and send it by FEDEX which i thought that it is the best courier company with a tracking number and required signature.

They sent it to me last week by FEDEX and gave me the tracking number, and i was checking everyday the number on their shipment tracking website and it was normal as the following :

The shipment was picked up last thursday, and went to france on friday and went to the united states on monday and was scheduled to be delivered at August, 4 and nothing has showed up and the online status of the shipment was clearance is in progress in customs canada ( 2 days for just 2 pcieces of papers!!!!!!!!!!!!), anyway, i called fedex to inquire what is going on and where is my shipment they answered it is in the custom department in canada and we don't know why it takes so long and when will they release it !!!!!! i said it is just a 2 pieces of papers, they said so what, and after all they re called me today to tell me that they are very sorry because they found out that my shipment was not in the custom department and they are unable to identify where is it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they said literally it appears that your shipment got lost !!!!!!!!!!!!!


Iam wondering! if that shipment was the full application with the supporting documents to immigration canada what would be the result !!!!!!!! or if it was my passport to be lost while am out of my country !!!!!! Unfortunatly we have to pay the very expensive price of some people's negligence who don't do their work as it has to be

I become very surprised to know about the negligence of Fedex. Almost all of us depend on this courier. Personally I also do. We must be careful in sending any documents next time, whether it is important or not.

What is your next step in this situation ? What Fedex will do next about your case ? Are you going to explain the whole situation to visa officer ?

Thank you so much guys for your reply, FEDEX told me that they will try again with the central information office of FEDEX company to find out where my shipment is, but they told me to be informed that the shipment likely got lost because it is very difficult in such a situation to find the shipment.

What makes me frustrated is that there is a tracking number pasted on fedex envelop (barcode) and they track the movement of shipments by checking the barcode for each package through special terminals in each station where the shipment is supposed to pass through, and from the inputs of each barcode the terminals automatically feedback their computer system for the purpose of shipment tracking, so when they say that they cannot identify where is the shipment after showing some movements of the shipment, it means that all of the tracking movements were a fake and there was no any inputs from that barcode number in their computer system. they were entering the shipment data predictably and not actually !!!!!!!!! shame on them !!!!!

I will have to go through the entire process again to get a new non conviction certificate because there is no any other choice.

I think that can happen with any courier company. You just had bad luck. I used the mail entirely for my immigration. Probably I sent with registered mail but I can't remember anymore. Nothing ever got lost though.

Trust me I had same problem with DHL and they saying USA custom hold my packets and my full application along with documents in that packet almost 5 months now so I have no hope anymore to getting that back.

You cannot base one incident to judge a large company, this is very bad what happened to you ~ I have always used Fedex and never had problem sometimes there were some delays but always deliver. DHL is a Cheat though,(many complaints) don't use DHL for third world countries.

You will see they will track your shipment, it is somewhere unless it is dropped somewhere at the airport and got lost.

The whole thing is unbelievable! FedEx cannot get away by simply saying, we are sorry. They take a lot of money from customers because their deliveries are supposed to be guaranteed. Perhaps the individual FedEx guy you were interacting with was clumbsy/new. It may be possible to trace the exact person who was to physically deliver the package. But why would you? It's their job if they have to find out what exactly happened to your document. God!

It is not really going to help to trace the exact delivery person weeks later because they delivered a whole bunch of letters since then and they will not remember one letter that got lost as if they would say, yes I remember that letter, I couldn't be bothered to deliver it so I stuck it under the seat of the car, maybe it's still there. More likely it's fallen behind something through no fault of the employee.

Thank you all guys for your inputs, i just wanted you all to be very careful when you send your documents (actually i don't know how because i myself was very careful when i chose FEDEX to send my documents and not regular mail). Anyway, that was my bad luck and hope not to see anyone else in such a situation.

They have called me 5 times just to confirm everytime that they are still unable to find it, and today they told me if i want to wait for couple more days or send my case to the compliance office in fedex, i chose to wait couple more days maybe they can find it and save the big effort and headache of getting a new certificate from my country, otherwise, they will send it to the compliance office after couple of days and they will contact me to see what they are going to do as a compensation.

If the documents were insured when they were sent, they will give you the money, if the value was declared like $1.00 then no compensation.

Hope they find it.
