ONLY - Who submitted CIC-AINP(SRS-U.S. Visa Holder Category) application

After I moved to India, I asked CIC Buffalo if they could have my file transfered and this is what they had to say: This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada and your request to have your file transferred. Visa offices are not required to transfer applications upon the...

ONLY - Who submitted CIC-AINP(SRS-U.S. Visa Holder Category) application

The only reason I retained the attorney after my application to CIC, was because I needed some representative who could receive my AOR/Medicals. If I had turned in my application to Delhi, there really would be no need for them. If only I knew then what I know now.

It is not protech. And you're right; they probably did not give me the right advice because they would have lost a client midway through the process.

Yes, I did know, and I spoke to my attorney, and they advised that the file had to be sent to Buffalo.

ok, so we if I go by your logic, if its 11 months since the day they started processing your application, they you should receive your ppr tiin May. In which case, you'll lose a month in getting your pp stamped, which leaves you practically no time to land. I think its 11 months since you...

lol...... @Mods...I believe its from the date you submit your application. If they started your processing your application in June, you did your medicals in June/July, and they issued your PR 11 months after, it would practically give you a month or two to land.

I'm wondering where we Buffalo folks are headed. Some of us have already reached the 11 month mark, or almost getting there.

Almost 4 months in my case - because my fingerprints kept getting rejected. If you happen to remember priya - she was really smart. Sent her pccs later, and got her ppr within a month of medicals.

Yes, agree on the second point. I made the same mistake; should not have waited for PCCs and FBI. This caused a big delay. People - The couple of ppr that I have seen from Buffalo in the last few days, in trackitt, are cases which had been pending for a very long time - applications sent in...

You should be fine. Even if you are showing a lesser amount, you are still within their guidelines. Just make sure they also get a copy of your offer letter.

    sinp proff of funds

You are right. You are not required to show proof of funds if you have a job; since they have asked you can use the same guidelines as that for skilled workers. www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp Are you single or do you have dependents? If you are single, ten the required funds...

If your passport has expired, that means your visas in that passport have also expired. So, I am not sure they would be concerned about expired visas. If you concerned about showing them your current status in the country either you should have your new passport showing current visa date or you...

I meant carry documentation showing sufficient funds while landing - the link says skilled workers or professionals. Do you have your old passport or new passport number on file? If it has the new passport number, then the new passport should suffice. They are more concerned about the validity...

Cuterash; First of congratulations ! Your long wait has finally come to an end. It looks like they had you confused with a skilled worker - they have asked you to show proof of funds. Or is this the norm for everybody from now on? Thanks for posting your letter. - c

Again, my observation is just conjecture. Bottom line - No logic; no consistency. Or maybe we were the unlucky few who were picked at random for extended background checks ( like you know they pick people at random for drug tests). I was just reading posts from other forums since 2008; and it...

I am not sure people are stuck because of background check or nationality - I have seen Phillipinos, Indians and other nationailities. My view on this is that they retained some files, which they thought are easiest to process, with all documentation complete, RPRF paid etc. And they transferred...

Is Address must for AINP ?

I would like to add to your previous question on address in Alberta. There are some in this forum who have also mentioned, that if they did not have an address in Alberta at the time of landing, they were given a form, and they had to fax or send this form once they had got an address. The PR...

Is Address must for AINP ?

There is no standard definition. What is important is that you should clearly demonstrate to the immigration officer your intent to settle down in Alberta; if he/she is not convinced your PR might be revoked. This is what the CIC bulletin states: A permanent resident visa holder in the PN class...
