Wow that's crazy waiting for 50 days and no reply. This is really messed up on CIC's part. My advice to anyone reading this thread, if you can send your passport to Ottawa by whatever means and get it back safely, just do it. Don't bother asking to stamp visa at another office. Hope we hear...

I would really like to know what it takes to have a visa issued at a different office. Maybe rocket science is involved lol. No more updates guys??

Hey, All CEC applications are processed in Ottawa. Applicants who chose for example, New Delhi as their visa office, still got request to send passport to Ottawa. I'm in the same situation, I had requested to change visa office and it was noted in my GCMS notes...but I still got request to...

Not much you can do at this moment. Your passport is probably already on its way via regular mail. You should be getting it soon.

Can't really say, its different for every case. After ecas showed Medical results received...I got PPR 3 days after.

Hey, Did you actually send a UPS return envelope? It's mentioned in the PPR email that CIC won't return your passport via courier but only through Canada Post. They ask for an Express post return envelope or they will return via regular mail.

So I called and the agent said they received my email requesting stamping of visa at local CIC office and that it has been added to my file and I will be hearing from them soon. So I asked, how long will it take...apparently I have to give them 20 working days. That's all folks!!

Ok thanks will try calling and will let you guys know what's going on.

I'm just baffled as to why such a simple request takes so long to reply to. Doesn't make sense at all...
