What ended up happening in your situation with the FBI PCC?

I will be submitting my application soon. I have a few questions: It says on the website : You will be asked to show us the original documents during the processing of your application. What do they mean by "during the processing of your application" . Do I need to attach the scanned passport...

Must be nice to have a choice, hopefully they'll make the online option available to families in the near future. We just dropped ours in the mail today... either way, best of luck with your application process!

Did the printout version end up working for you? Mine was sent back electronically from the FBI, so I don't have the original.

Yeah I wish they had the online version available for families. I also don't feel great about putting such sensitive information in the mail, but it is what it is.

Good luck, I'm not looking forward to filling out this application. I have to do two of them :rolleyes:... but definitely excited to take the next step on this journey! :)

We made sure to ask the clerk at Walgreens to cut the photos after getting them taken. The first set we had, my photos were accepted by CIC but my wife's were not. We went back to Walgreens a 2nd time, and the 2nd set of photos were accepted by CIC. Not sure why she needed to take them again...

My masters program was complete online, but my degree and transcripts do not show that it's a distance program (doesn't say "online" anywhere) and I received full points/accreditation from WES. My program was a two year program, but I'm not sure about how certificates work.

My wife and I have been PRs in Canada for about a year now, and travel regularly to the US and Mexico by air. Although we always carry them, we have not once been asked for our PR cards by an airline. Once you show the US passport they don't ask.

I used USPS First Class Package International shipping to CPC-Ottawa, and it took about 10 days to get there. The updates on when it arrived at certain points, and when it was finally delivered were delayed constantly, so it was difficult to determine when it had actually arrived at certain...

Mine took about 30 days all together to get the status update, and receive it back. This was about 18 months ago however.

From what I've seen in the forum, most people from the US have been assigned to Ottawa for this stage in the process.

Your PPR email may actually come from Ottawa. Many people living in the US, and other places in North America, including mine, get requested from Ottawa. Also if it makes you feel any better, I paid my RPRF in May, but didn't get the PPR until June. Hang in there, it's on the way :-)

There are different rules depending on the state you're coming from and the province you're going to live in. Many have exchange options, but you normally would do this after you land, as sometimes they are required to keep you US license and return it to the state of issue.

I think that's the fastest appointment I've seen booked so far! Congrats :-)
