Aren't the two photo you need for landing attached to the COPR? I'm not seeing anywhere that more photos are needed than what CIC originally asked for, however I'm not doing my landing at a center, and the info that came with my COPR doesn't state to bring more photos, so it may be different.

Have you ordered your GCMS notes to get more information on your case?

I used Walgreens, they seem to be the only ones who have a specific Canadian immigration photo setting on the machine. Make sure to specify that's what you're looking for. Expensive compared to Sam's but at least you'll get the correct size.

As long as you have the correct permissions (visas), you absolutely can. Neither of you would be the first to do this.

You should get it soon, takes about 30 days after passport delivery.

I have to echo the previous comment, I wouldn't even take the chance. Avoid the potential problem and book an inland appointment. I don't know the timeframe exactly, but from what i've seen in the forums they notify you of your appointment date within 3 weeks of you making the request.

If your friend could pick you up at the border, and bring the landing document to you, you should be good to cross back into Canada in a private, non-commercial vehicle.

I'd love to find out what you end up doing, and how it works out. I'm planning on flying up to Ontario to do my landing in Sept., and look for a place to live, however I need to come back to the US to wrap up the house, get my dogs, etc... Looking for the best way to do this, and then return...
