PR Card renewal amid COVID-19 scenario

Just noticed today that the processing times were updated, and it shows 174 days for renewing PR card. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

PR Inland Landing appointments/interviews affected by Covid

You should follow the instructions on your PR letter. Mine requested CoPR and a photo only. Based o the tracking number from CanadaPost, they received my documents as of April 29. However, I linked my PR card application to myCIC account and there's no update there.

Not yet. CoPR and photo were received by government on April 29.

    COPR and coronavirus

I'm not sure I understood your question. Personally, I took a few photos recently, and used the same for PPR, CoPR, PR card, healthcare card,...

    COPR and coronavirus

The instructions on the letter weren't clear enough. I sent a webform with the same questions as yours, and the answer was "to consult the PR letter". So, based on my interpretation of my PR letter here is what I did: 1. I signed and dated the IRCC copy of CoPR. 2. I only send IRCC copy, mainly...

    COPR and coronavirus

I followed the instruction on the PR letter, which is to send CoPR and photo to a specific IRCC office. It's pretty straight forward.

Thank you for the tip! I was entering only the city (without the abbreviated state/province) in "place of birth".

@senhari2005 , @CanadaCorona and @prashantpraut , did you put the date of PR letter in the "Date you became a permanent resident" ? I can't link my application. :(

PR Inland Landing appointments/interviews affected by Covid

Yes, I submitted the PR letter. For the CoPR, I took a picture with my phone and converted to PDF.

I chose "change in status" since I was changing from temporary to permanent resident SIN. I got a printed letter with SIN. They haven't issued SIN cards for few years now. I submitted the client copy of CoPR without signature.

PR Inland Landing appointments/interviews affected by Covid

It was really fast. The expected delay is 20 business days, and I got it in 8 days. (2 days for processing and 6 days for delivering via CanPost) I submitted exactly the documents they asked: CoPR, passport, and PR confirmation letter.

Thank you for sharing this response! I sent a webform too and got a generic answer, like "follow the instructions in the letter". I already sent the IRCC copy of CoPR and I am waiting for PR card. I also already applied online for a SIN update, on April 27, and got the new SIN today, May 7.

    COPR and coronavirus

I signed and sent only the IRCC copy of CoPR. In addition to the photo attached to this copy, I send another one (the same photo I took a couple months ago), with my name and UCI on the back. This is based on my interpretation of the PR email. Also, as far as I know, normally we need the client...

PR Inland Landing appointments/interviews affected by Covid

Congratulations! Here is what I did, based on my interpretation of the email, without any confirmation/validation from IRCC: 1. I signed and sent only the IRCC copy. I kept the client copy because, as far as I know, we need it when applying for citizenship in the future. 2. I signed and dated...

PR Inland Landing appointments/interviews affected by Covid

As specified above, when you receive your passports back, you get two copies of CoPR: one for the IRCC, and one for the client. It's written at the bottom of each page. It's not clear on the email, and I did not confirm with an agent, but it seemed logical for me to send only the IRCC copy with...

To everyone else, be patient and keep a valid status while waiting for PR email. We all have waited for a long time until now (most of us for more than the 6-month deadline), so we are experts on practicing patience and being surprised by IRCC. :D Good luck to all! Everything will be fine! ;)

PR Inland Landing appointments/interviews affected by Covid

    - PR card instructions come in the PR email. We have to mail the CoPR and a passport standard photo to a specific IRCC office, and they will mail the PR card to the applicant. - SIN: in-person applications are suspended, obviously. So we can apply online (https://eservices.canada.ca/en/Sin/). -...

Congratulations! I signed and sent only the "IRCC copy" and kept "Client copy". Apparently, we need the CoPR to apply for citizenship.

Thanks! The same number as always: 1-888-242-2100, then pressed 0 to speak with an agent. I tried a few times, and, eventually, someone picked up the phone. It sounded like they were working from home and not the call center because there's a lot of echo.

PR Inland Landing appointments/interviews affected by Covid

Hi all, Just to inform I received an email confirming my PR status today. I didn't get a phone interview like others, but I had called IRCC a couple of days ago, so that might have been enough to confirm my current address. Quick timeline: - PPR on Feb 28 - CoPR and VPR on Mar 4 (valid until...
