From what I've seen in forums, that's pretty much it. You hand over your documents (passport, photos, and invitation), get asked statutory questions (your first and last entry in Canada, has committed any crime,...), and you get the CoPR directly (no visa stamped because you're already in...

@Samster and @Usmz and others who received PPR, At the landing, you had to provide a non-QC address to receive the PR card, right? What do you think is the best to do: - give a friend's address in Ontario and ask them to send PR card once they get it; - give a friend's address in Ontario and...

Diane, you should raise a CSE webform and specifically ask for the status of each stage (Eligibility, Criminality, and Security). Also, ask if your file is under Security Screening. (Tip: you have to be specific, otherwise they will give you a generic answer.) You have the right to do it because...

Me too! It seems they are clearing the June backlog. I raised a CSE webform on Feb18, got a GU on Feb19, and a RPRF request on Feb20. Our PPR is on the way! ;)

Hi, Would you mind sharing the additional document request? Also, what did you provide to local MP to inquire about your case? Thanks!

You can order directly in the IRCC website, if you are (or have someone who is) PR or Canadian Citizen, for only $5: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/transparency/access-information-privacy/requests-information-act.html That is how I ordered, and I believe it...

The notes will shed some light on the reason for the review (PoF, employment letters, intention to leave QC, etc.). If I were you, I'd order the notes. That you way, you can proactively work on more support documents, should you be required to provide them.

Yes, I ordered them back in October and received them in November. Since August, my file is waiting for review by a senior officer at VO Ottawa. In the notes, there is no mention of the fact that I currently live in Quebec though. I didn't order GCMS notes recently because it is taking 90-120...

7.5 months. I called IRCC a couple of times after the 6-month mark and everything seems to be OK in my file, waiting to be analyzed. Fingers crossed for everyone!

Hi @anurag123sri, do you have any evidence showing that the rejection rate has increased recently? Is there other threads or forums reporting rejection cases? Thanks

Yes, normally IRCC refunds automatically, but the applicant can withdraw the application and get the refund.

What a bummer! It's really sad to see when IRCC take 6-7 months to make a negative decision. Gladly, you have more than enough points to get a new ITA at the next draw in two weeks. Good luck!
