    ****MARCH 2019 INLAND SPONSORSHIP****

My background check started today! So Nice to know something is happening, hopefully this won't take too long. I've no criminal record (already submitted police checks upfront) and am not part of any gangs etc. How long did it take you all to pass the BGC?

I'm still waiting for my background check to be done, I've got my OWP since 31st May 2019. I had to send my UK Police Certificates up front instead of behind (that's my my application was sent back, the one and only error). I've still not been asked for my medical or my biometrics yet either...

My (our) application for Common-Law Sponsorship seems to be finally in motion but it's been very confusing. There is also additional paperwork for me as I also have Quebec to deal with. Here's the timeline then I'll explain some of the difficulties afterwards. Inland Common-Law Application -...

    ****MARCH 2019 INLAND SPONSORSHIP****

I've been trying to link my application for about 2 months now myself, without success. I've followed every forum tip, 2 family members for me as just me and my sponsor. I use my (primary applicant) details. It doesn't let you skip entering the town of birth like some tell you. My application...

    Spousal sponsorship

I came here on a visitor visa, asked for the maximum stay of 6 months. I wasn't able to work but as you're already spouses you can apply for permanent residence straight away. You can apply for an open work permit as part of the application. So you can work once you get provisional acceptance...

Schedule A plus police certificates. From what I could see there was also a contradiction in terms of needing one for Canada, as well as your previous country. (For me that was the UK). But from researching others who also had this problem, you just get your previous country's certificates and...

    Spousal sponsorship

If you have applied in-land for permanent residency, you have implied status until a decision is made. So you should be ok. I've applied for common-law sponsorship and my tourist visa extension is good anyway until the end of June 2019. But due to the application I'm good now until a PR...

CSQ submitted.. How long before PPR? (Spouse Sponsorship)

Thanks for your reply; you're right about it being filled in advance. That's what Quebec recommend to do, I guess I was being over cautious and didn't want to get forms filled out if for some reason I wasn't gonna pass the 1st stage! The Quebec sponsorship stuff was received in Montreal...

Sorry you had to wait so long! I hope it didn't cause any issues with the Federal Gov, as it wasn't your fault you had to wait so long.

Hi all and thank you for taking the time to read this. I am a British Citizen who has a Canadian girlfriend from Quebec. She's a born and raised Canadian Citizen. After a failed Conjugal Partner Application (well we realized very early on after a post on here that it would be rejected because...
