Which letters? If they are supporting your relationship then they should be notarized

Yeah they accepted our letter of urgency... spent the last week collating everything together and mailing it tomorrow :)

For the mailing address, if you use a signed for service do you have to send it to the courier address? I always assumed PO boxes meant nobody was present to sign but im still only using canada post with a signature

Yeah somebody was asked that lol.... although if thats the only thing you didnt know im sure they wouldnt reject you... We looked at example questions are some we got wrong like colour of toothbrush. I got it right but my wife thought the colours were the other way around haha

It can take a while to recieve notification. Dont worry... if you sent it recorded at least you know it arrived

You send the OWP in the same package as the sponsorship... thats if you do inland. If you do outland because its overal faster, youll just have to apply to extend his visitor visa before it expires

Not neccessary... I would but only because i over worry and then when i recieved my OWP notification Id cancel my application and get the 100 dollar refund... unless it had already come through

You can apply as a visitor yes. If you apply inland and apply for an OWP with it he will have implied status while youre waiting for the OWP. There is no minimum income to sponsor... you just have to show that you can provide his basic needs

Somebody else on the forum sent theirs the day before their current status expired and when they called cic were told that they use their status based on the postage stamp (when it was sent in the mail)... id personally apply for visitor status to be safe

If you can yeah... id get all the papers ready in advance. Maybe attach any documentation with both your names on in canada... also you can check the additional country requirements for UAE... itll state whats needed. Theres nothing additional for the uk... look through the application and guides

If hes british he can enter Canada just using his passport... once in canada you can apply inland with an open work permit and then the OWP application gives you implied status in case his visitor status expires. Once he recieves the work permit he can work... it takes 1-4 months for the work...
